Overview

To help you keep tasks organized and draw attention to urgent matters, tasks have statuses and priorities. Statuses let you know the life cycle of a task, and where it is in the process of being completed. Priorities tell you how urgently a task should be completed.

In this article, we’ll briefly go over the different options for statuses and priorities as well as how they’re set.

Statuses

You can manually change the status of a task. There are three main statuses for tasks:

  • Open - A task can be edited and worked on. This status occurs automatically when a task is created.

  • Archived - A task that has been deleted. You can not edit or work on an archived task. You can view the task and any notes made previously.

  • Completed - A task was successfully completed and manually marked as complete. You can no longer edit or work on a completed task.

Note that changing a status to Completed or Archived cannot be undone.

Priorities

You can set a task priority when creating it and edit the priority so long as the task remains open. There are three priority levels:

  • Low - Displays with a gray tag in task queues.

  • Medium - Displays with a blue tag in task queues.

  • High - Displays with an orange tag in task queues.

Note that you can only change priority levels in tasks that have an Open status.
