Overview

Notes are a way for you to keep track of actions and important information when working in NikoHealth. Notes are always attached to a specific record, whether it’s a patient profile, order, inventory item, or task. This means that to view notes, you’ll first need to open the associated record.

In this article we’ll go over the different places you can view notes and then how to filter and search through notes in a record.

Where to View Notes

In order to view notes, you first have to open the record you want to see the notes of. For example, if you want to see the notes for a particular order, you will first have to locate that order and open it to see its details.

For orders, patient profiles, invoices, or inventory items, you can view notes under the Notes tab.

With tasks, notes are visible on the right as soon as you open the record.

Filter and Search Notes

Task Notes

The only way to find notes associated with a task is to open the task and use the Search note bar in the top right. The search only looks for matches in the note contents. For example, you cannot search based on the user who added the note, only the text written in the note.

All Other Notes

When viewing notes in patient profiles, orders, inventory items, and invoices there is a set of filters and searches at the top of the Notes tab.

You can use these filters and search fields to find a specific note or narrow the notes that are displayed. Filters will show up at the top of the page.

The search and filter fields available will depend on where you are viewing notes but the basic functionality remains the same across patient profiles, orders, inventory items, and invoice notes.

Search Fields - Search fields allow you to type in the criteria you want to find. You can enter full or partial information. For example, you could search with a keyword that should be inside a note to see all matching notes. To remove a search item, hit the X.

Dropdown Fields - Certain filters are based on predefined values. Use the dropdowns to select the appropriate value. To clear a filter, hit the X.

Some dropdowns will let you select multiple options. When there are checkboxes you can select multiple values. This means any task that matches one of the selected values will show up.

Calendar Dates - You can filter results by a time period. Click on the date filter to see the calendar dropdown. To the left are standard time periods you can use as a filter. To select custom dates, use the right and left arrows to navigate the months and select calendar dates. When you’re done click Apply.

You can use multiple filters and search fields to narrow your results. Only results that match all of your filter criteria will be displayed.

To clear all filters and search criteria, click the circular arrow on the left.
