Document types are a way to categorize and organize documents in NikoHealth. Document types are especially important when documents are attached to Patient Profiles.

Patient documents are organized by Document Type. The most recently attached document type will appear at the top of the patient record and you can click to view all of the documents of that type.

Some document types are automatically set up for your use and can’t be removed. Other document types you can customize and add so they show up in your dropdown options.

Only users with appropriate permissions can add, edit, or remove document types using the Management tab. For more information see the article Managing Document Types.
