Overview

Uploading documents is a way to add outside files to NikoHealth. You can upload documents in several places. In this article, we’ll go over the different places that allow you to upload documents.

If you’re looking to take a fax from your Inbox and attach it to a patient profile as a document, see the article Attach a Fax as a Document instead.

Where to Upload Documents

In NikoHealth you can upload documents on the Document Management page and inside patient records and tasks.

Orders can have documents attached to them, but they must be documents previously attached to a patient record.

On the Document Management Page

The easiest place to add and manage documents is the Document Management page. Click the paper icon in the top right menu.

Once on the Document Management page, click the blue plus sign in the top right.

Select Upload Document.

The Upload Documents window will open. Drag and drop your file into the window or click Browse File and select the desired file from your device.

If you selected the wrong document, hit the X to the right. When you’re done, click Add.

You can add notes and attach documents to other records after it’s been uploaded. For more information see the articles Manage Documents and Attach Documents.

Inside a Patient Record

You can upload documents directly to a patient profile by clicking the blue plus sign at the top of the page and select Add Documents in the dropdown.

The Add Documents page will open. Drag and drop your file into the Upload tab to the left or select Click to Upload and choose the desired file from your device.

A preview of the file will show to the right. You can select multiple files by repeating the process.

If you selected the wrong document, hit the X to the right.

You can remove or save multiple documents at once by clicking the ellipses (...) in the top right and choosing the appropriate menu option.

Click Save at the bottom right to keep your changes.

The documents will now be visible in that record under the Documents tab as well as your main Document Management queue.

Inside a Task

When creating or editing a task, there is an Attachments section. Click the paper and arrow icon to the right of the field to upload a new document. For more information see our articles on Tasks.

The Upload Documents window will open. Drag and drop your file into the window or click Browse File and select the desired file from your device.

If you selected the wrong document, hit the X to the right. When you’re done, click Add. You can add multiple documents to tasks.

The documents will now be visible when you view the note as well as in your main Document Management queue.
