Overview

A service location is where a patient can receive service from your company. You can assign service locations to patients, orders, and invoices in NikoHealth. A service location can also be an inventory location or service center depending on how your company is setup. For more information see the article Understanding Locations.

In this article, we’ll go over how to add a new service location to NikoHealth.

Add a Service Location

To get to your service center, click Management in the top menu.

In the left menu, click Corporate Setup and select Service Location in the submenu.

Click the blue plus sign in the top right.

A new page will open, this is where you can enter all of the new service location information. Any field with an asterisk (*) is a required field. Below we’ll break down each section and how to fill it out.

In the Details section, enter the physical address of the location. You can also add NPI information.

If you do not have the needed NPI information, you can click NPI Lookup and you will be brought to the official NPPES NPI Registry page to search.

Use the Contacts section to enter phone, fax, website, or email information for the location. Click Add Contact.

Use the dropdown to select the type of contact and then enter the information. To add more than one contact detail, click Add Contact again.

To remove a contact, click the X to the right.

In the Billing Provider section, use the dropdown to select one of your billing providers that is associated with the location. If you don’t see the needed providers, check out the article Add a Billing Provider.

The Rendering Provider field has a dropdown to select a rendering provider. This field is optional and should only be indicated if a rendering provider should be reported by default on all invoices created for this billing provider.

The last section in the tab is for fax lines. Fax lines can be defaulted to a specific service location. You can add one or multiple fax lines and associate them with a specific service location. Click Add Fax Line to add a new number.

You can add an Alias for a fax line. Users can search and filter fax numbers by locations and by aliases, saving them time when quickly looking for a number.

If you have custom fields for your service locations, you can enter the information by clicking the Custom Fields tab at the top. Custom fields add additional information that may be unique to your organization.

Want to learn how to create custom fields for service locations? See the article Custom Fields.

All of the custom fields associated with service locations will appear on the page. Click the Value field to enter data for a custom field.

When you’re done, click Save at the bottom.
