Brightree to NikoHealth: Viewing and Managing Patients

Updated over a week ago

Introduction

The core work in DME/HME—intake, documentation, delivery, and billing—is the same whether you use Brightree or NikoHealth. What changes is how each system structures that work.

This article walks through the patient, order, and billing workflows in NikoHealth and explains how they differ from what you may be used to in Brightree.

Patient Workflow: one workspace

In Brightree

You usually start on a Patient Search screen. You enter combinations of Patient name, ID, branch, and other filters, then open the Patient and navigate through various tabs to find demographics, insurance, orders, and AR.

In NikoHealth

The Patients tab is single workspace where all your Patients are listed in a queue with relevant information highlighted for quick and efficient workflow. From this Patient queue, you can search and filter your list of Patients by a variety of key data points, and then drill in to any Patient to view their Patient Profile. Patient Management: one comprehensive view

Patient Profiles are your one-stop shop for all information related to a patient, including demographic information, Orders, insurance info, financial details, and more.
