Introduction

Tasks are your go-to tool for staying organized and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks in NikoHealth. You can use tasks as reminders or to assign and notify a user to complete an action. Take a look below at some of the key features of tasks.

Key Features

Personal To-Do List

Each user has their own task queue, when they are assigned a task, it will appear in the queue that they can access right from the dashboard!

Link to a Patient

You can link a task to one or more patients. This association also lets you quickly jump to the patient's profile and ensures the task is visible to anyone viewing the patient's profile.

Link to an Invoice

Link to an Order

Add Document Attachments

Add Notes

Once created, you can add notes and note templates to a task to provide further instructions and information.

Using Tasks

Tasks are best used to set yourself a reminder or to inform other people of tasks they need to complete. Below we’ll go over a couple of scenarios that tasks can be used for.

Task Scenarios

Reminder

There is a problem with the supply for an order, if the issue is not resolved in 6 days you will need to replace an item. You will need to call in 5 days to check the status. To remember, you create a task and assign it to yourself. You link the order to the task for easy reference and schedule the task for 5 days in the future. The task will now appear in your task queue as a reminder to follow up.

Teamwork

There’s a question on a patient invoice and you need someone in billing to take a look. To let the team member know, you create a task and assign it to them. You link the task with the invoice in question and set a priority so they know how quickly they need to get to work. The task will appear in the team member’s task queue so they know to get started.
